William K. Fisk, 77, of Tripoli and formerly of Readlyn, died Monday, February 3, 2014, at the Waverly Health Center.
Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday, February 8, 2014, at Faith United Church of Christ in Tripoli with Rev. Marilyn Sargent officiating. Interment will be at Fairbank Cemetery in Fairbank, Iowa. Friends may call from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday, February 7th at Rettig Funeral Home in Tripoli and for one hour preceding services at the church on Saturday. William Keith Fisk, son of Fred and Essie Fisk, was born February 17, 1936, near Fairbank, Iowa. He graduated from Oran High School. He served with the National Guard for two years. On December 12, 1959, he was united in marriage with Leona Copus at Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin. William worked for various farmers in the Vinton, Iowa area for several years. In 1970, he began working at Readlyn Farm Automation and continued until retiring in 1993. Shortly after Leona’s death on August 30, 2011, he became a resident of the Bartels Home in Waverly. He later entered Tripoli Nursing & Rehabilitation.
He is survived by three children, Raymond Fisk of Nashua, Beckie Fisk of Waverly, and Allen Fisk of Denver; four grandchildren, Kim (Robbie) Van Lengen, and Andrew, Keith, and Ashley Fisk; and four great grandchildren, Kiley, Kendra, Hayden, and Hunter Van Lengen.
In addition to his wife, William was preceded in death by one son, Doug; his parents; and two sisters, Geraldine Ott and Norma Hillock.
